Der Julius-Raab-Stipendienfonds hat es sich zum Ziel gesetzt, Nachwuchswissenschafter_innen der steirischen Hochschulen, die an gesellschafts- oder wirtschaftsrelevanten Themen arbeiten, mit einjährigen Stipendien zu unterstützen. Ganz besonders freut sich die Rechtswissenschaftliche Fakultät, dass in diesem Jahr sechs der insgesamt zehn Preisträger_innen aus den Reihen ihres wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses stammen: Mag. Sebastian Gölly (Institut für Strafrecht), Mag. Viola Krebs (Institut für Unternehmensrecht), Mag. Elisabeth Paar (Institut für Öffentliches Recht), Mag. David Schneeberger (Institut für Öffentliches Recht), Mag. Katharina Sitter (Institut für Arbeitsrecht) sowie Mag. Martin Sumper (Institut für Finanzrecht) wurden damit in den Stipendienjahrgang 2019/20 dieses Wissenschaftsförderungsprogramms, das von der Wirtschaftskammer Steiermark unterstützt wird, aufgenommen.
Zwei der Stipendiat_innen (Mag. Paar und Mag. Schneeberger) sind zudem als Dissertant_innen im neuen profilbildenden Bereich der Uni Graz „Smart Regulation“ tätig, der sich mit Neuerungen im technischen Bereich wie Digitalisierung, Industrie 4.0 oder selbstfahrende Autos und deren Herausforderungen für Recht und Wirtschaft beschäftigt.
