EuGH-Richterin zu Gast an Fakultät

Maria Berger blickt mit Beatrix Karl hinter die Kulissen des EuGH

Einen besonderen Gast durfte die Rechtswissenschaftliche Fakultät bei einem von ihr gestalteten Programmpunkt anlässlich des ersten Homecoming Day von alumni UNI graz am 26. September begrüßen: Die ehemalige Justizministerin und jetzige österreichische Richterin beim EuGH, Maria Berger, ließ in einem Werkstättengespräch mit unserer Professorin Beatrix Karl vom Institut für Arbeitsrecht hinter die Kulissen ihrer Arbeit beim EuGH blicken, erzählte von wegweisenden Urteilen, an denen sie in letzter Zeit mitgewirkt hat, und gab einen kleinen Ausblick, was in nächster Zeit beim EuGH anstehen wird. 

Weitere spannende Programmpunkte der REWI-Fakultät bildeten die Vorträge von Professor Willibald Posch, der der Frage nachging, wo islamisches Recht vor österreichischen Gerichten eine Rolle spielte, und Professorin Elisabeth Staudegger, die darstellte, wie Google, Facebook und Co das Recht herausfordern.
