Hello, Fellow: Maria Lubomira Kubica

Maria Lubomira Kubica is Assistant Professor of Private Law at UNED (Spain), Visiting Professor at Freie Universität Berlin, Co-Chair of the Spanish Hub of European Law Institute, member of its Council as well as a member of ENIA Chair on AI. Her research lies at the intersection of Contracts, Torts,, Digital and Comparative Law. She is currently writing a commissioned book for Routledge—Enterprise Liability in the Digital Age—which she plans to advance during her stay in Graz. Austria is a key jurisdiction in her comparative study, and the University of Graz, according to her, offers an ideal setting: a rigorous private-law tradition, excellent libraries, and a vibrant scholarly community. Kubica especially looks to Walter Doralt's expertise in obligations and comparative private law to help shape and sharpen the project. Beyond footnotes and case law, she is looking forward to the city's humane scale—conversations that begin in seminars and continue over coffee, turning doctrine into ideas that travel.
