Two and a half thousand years have passed since the Chinese scholar Confucius introduced this remarkable sentence to the world. And it seems to be a wise sentence - how else would it have retained its validity throughout the centuries?
If you're thinking about doing an internship, then you've taken a smart first step: you want to do something - and then be really good at it. A good decision that is very much in line with the aspirations of studying at our university: yes, we want to impart knowledge. But we also know that it is only potential knowledge. Knowledge only unfolds its power when it is applied.
With this in mind: apply - and then go into practice with respect for the task, but with optimism and energy! Good luck!

How do I find a suitable internship?
Quite simply... we support you in your search with:
-
our REWI internship exchange,
-
many internships abroad, compiled and financially supported by the International Relations Office
-
the job and internship portal of the University of Gaz,
-
or you can find an internship yourself and we will support you with the recognition process.
Will I be paid during the internship or will I receive support?
- Some internship positions offer a salary or compensation for your work: Take a look at the provider profiles in our REWI Internship Exchange .
- The Erasmus+ program offers internship grants for study stays in or outside Europe. You can find the requirements and the amount of financial support on the website of the International Relations Office.
- If possible, we will support you with an internship grant for your internship abroad. Find out more here!
Can I have my internship credited towards my studies?
We have put together some options for you (see above), but these are not intended to be restrictive. Do you have other plans or other ideas? We are here for you! Career-oriented internships of your choice can generally be recognized with up to 12 ECTS as a free elective subject.
What are the requirements for recognition? Before starting the internship, you must have successfully completed at least the Studies Induction and Orientation Period (STEOP). And, of course, your internship must be related to law if you want it to be recognized as part of your law degree!
How many ECTS credits do you receive for your intern ship? This depends on the length and intensity of the internship: a full-time internship of eight weeks (approx. 320 hours) corresponds to 12 ECTS credits. ECTS for shorter internships are calculated according to this key.
How does the crediting process work? If it is an internship that you are organizing yourself, we recommend that you contact us before the internship to carry out a preliminary check (you only need to send us the following completed form). Better safe than sorry. Otherwise, the recognition process is very simple: whether in advance or afterwards, download the recognition form, fill it out (pay particular attention to the description of your activity: there must be a clear legal reference here), sign it and send it to rewi.anrechnung(at)uni-graz.at. At the end of the internship, a confirmation of internship (page 3 of the form) including a company signature must be submitted by the internship supervisor. It is important that the duration, scope of work (hours) and the content of the work are confirmed.
Seminar University and practice
In addition to your internships, we offer you the opportunity to round them off with a course to better prepare you for your internship. The course is available in the areas of criminal law, civil law and public law.
