Doctoral School
The Doctoral School “Law and Politics” brings together research and teaching in the disciplines of law and political science across subjects and fields at doctoral level. A problem-oriented understanding of the reciprocal relationship between law and politics is an essential prerequisite for the scholarly advancement of theories and methods in these disciplines and thus contributes to the further development of fundamental research at universities. At the same time, this approach is of considerable practical relevance for the provision of academically grounded legal and policy advice.
The purpose of the Doctoral School “Law and Politics” is to support the students’ high-quality academic work and to ensure appropriate institutional conditions. In this respect, the Doctoral School primarily fulfils coordinating, supportive and evaluative functions.
