Sevleta Halilović joins us as Land Steiermark Junior Fellow. She is a scholar and practitioner in the field of private international law, currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Sarajevo, where she also holds the position of Research and Teaching Assistant. Her research focuses on the intersection of Private International Law and arbitration, with a particular emphasis on conflict of laws, cross-border legal influences, and the evolving nature of international dispute resolution. Ahead of her stay, she told us:
“For me, coming to Graz is, above all, an opportunity to gain life experience and conducting research at another university. I am eager to connect with experts in my field, as well as other specialists at the university. Additionally, if luck is on my side, I would love to find a potential mentor for my doctoral thesis at this very institution. Also, I really, really want to explore Austrian cuisine!”
