Hello, Fellow: Ranchun Wang

Ranchun Wang

(c) privat

Ranchun Wang, University of Groningen, joins us as Ernst Mosing Junior Fellow in November. She is currently researching ESG disclosure regimes for her PhD thesis. In Graz, she will compare European, US and Chinese rules in this area.

Ranchun Wang is a PhD researcher at the Faculty of Law, University of Groningen, the Netherlands. She holds an Advanced LL.M. in Law & Finance from Leiden University and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Law and Economics from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing. She has also passed the Chinese National Unified Legal Professional Qualification Examination and previously interned at UNIDROIT in Rome. Her research interests lie in law and economics, environmental policy, corporate governance and sustainable development. Her doctoral research focuses on the regulation of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) disclosure rules.

At REWI Uni Graz, Ranchun will be working at the Department of Civil Law, Foreign Private Law and Private International Law under the supervision of Walter Doralt, studying and comparing ESG disclosure regimes in the EU, the U.S., and China.

Passionate about travel and European culture, this is her first visit to Austria. Besides research, she looks forward to hiking in the nearby mountains and, perhaps most eagerly, experiencing Austria’s famous Christmas markets!
