Hello, Fellow: Dominik Dworniczak

Dominik Dworniczak

(c) privat

Dominik Dworniczak joins our Department for Civil Law, Foreign and Private International Law as Land Steiermark Junior Fellow. Welcome!

Dominik Dworniczak is a PhD Researcher in Law at the European University Institute (Florence, Italy). His research interests include European private law, particularly consumer protection and contract law, as well as company law, tort law and legal history. His PhD thesis, now in its final stages, focuses on judicial interactions between the Court of Justice of the European Union and national supreme courts in the field of consumer credit, with emphasis on systematic case law analysis. At REWI Uni Graz, he is working at the Department for Civil Law, Foreign and Private International Law under the supervision of Professor Brigitta Lurger. He is extending his research - previously centred on the French Cour de cassation and Polish Sąd Najwyższy - to the Austrian Supreme Court of Justice (Oberster Gerichtshof), focusing on transparency in consumer credit (case) law. In his free time, Dominik enjoys hiking. He has spent some time in the mountains around Salzburg and Upper Austria, and now he’s looking forward to finding new trails on the other side of the Salzkammergut.
