The symposium "Interdisciplinary and Transdisciplinary Research Addressing Important Societal Challenges - Goals, Methods, Chances, and Limits" will take place on November 8, 2024, at the University of Graz. This symposium is an annual event organized by the university's Field of Excellence "Smart Regulation" (https://smart-regulation.uni-graz.at/de/).

This year's symposium will feature six lectures and a panel discussion. Researchers will present their work from one or more interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary research projects.

The panel discussion, featuring Henrietta Egerth-Stadlhuber, Managing Director of the Austrian Research Promotion Agency FFG, Christof Gattringer, President of the Austrian Science Fund FWF, and Vice Rector Joachim Reidl, will focus on the topic of interdisciplinarity and third-party funding systems.
