The REWI Mentoring Program
Especially at the beginning of your studies, you ask yourself many questions such as: "I want to complete this degree quickly and well, what is the best way to do this? ", "How much time do I need to prepare for the exam? ", "How do I register for a course or exam? ", "What is UNIGRAZonline and how does it even work? " . Because we can't answer all your questions here, we motivate the most suitable people to help you: your colleagues who were in the same situation a few semesters ago and most likely had the same questions!

For mentees
During the semester, there is regular in-person exchange between mentors and mentees. You will meet with your mentor once a month within the mentoring group to engage in discussions, ask questions, and exchange experiences.
Since all first-semester students should have the opportunity to participate in the mentoring program, you will meet your mentor as part of the course “Der juristische Fall als Einstieg in das Recht”.
For mentors
Why Become a Mentor?
- You take on social responsibility.
- You develop key skills essential for your studies and future career.
- You receive a final certificate, enhancing your CV.
- You earn 3 ECTS credits (counted towards elective courses).
To apply as a mentor, you must have completed at least the STEOP exams plus an additional 20 ECTS credits in your diploma or bachelor’s degree program, and you should bring a good dose of motivation for the "job." As a mentor, you’ll be responsible for a group of around 20 mentees and should be willing to hold a meeting with them once a month. During these meetings, you’ll share your experiences, offer tips, and provide an opportunity for the mentees to ask questions. Your mentees will be connected with each other and with you through a WhatsApp group.
To become a mentor, you need to register for the Moodle course rewi.mentoring WiSe using your Moodle account and complete the application form by September 14, 2025.
