Support for your LL.M. abroad
Well, the first question one could ask, is why REWI Graz is supporting its students to pursue an LL.M. at another university, or even more bluntly, why pursue an LL.M. when one is working/has already worked so hard to achieve a law degree in Graz? Isn't that enough?
Well, yes, it is and it is not. While for most people an Austrian law degree is more than enough to have a good standing in Austria, for a few students, who aspire to work as lawyers in an international environment, this is not the case. An LL.M. will provide you with an in-depth knowledge of a different country norms and its legal system, your soft skills and language proficiency will increase exponentially, thus setting you two steps ahead of your fellow colleagues when applying for your dream job. And let's be honest, even if we run the risk of being logorrhoeic, we live in an increasingly intertwined world and we wish to support our students to be best prepared for it!
We are aware that these programs also have high costs for students and this is why we cooperate with other universities abroad to make your dream become reality.
University of Minnesota
If you first think of snow and freezing temperatures when you hear Minnesota, you are right for several months of the year — but the state has much more to offer. The University of Minnesota is home to one of the most prestigious law schools in the United States and has been our valued partner for many years.
Minnesota Law’s LL.M. programmes provide internationally trained lawyers with a solid grounding in US law, enhance legal writing and practical skills, and offer first-hand insight into the legal system through judicial placements. To date, all LL.M. students at Minnesota Law have received a scholarship; in addition, we support your studies with further funding, subject to availability.
