Support for your LL.M. abroad
Well, the first question one could ask, is why REWI Graz is supporting its students to pursue an LLM at another university, or even more bluntly, why pursue an LLM when one is working/has already worked so hard to achieve a law degree in Graz? Isn't that enough?
Well, yes, it is and it is not. While for most people an Austrian law degree is more than enough to have a good standing in Austria, for some few students, who aspire to work as lawyers in an international environment, this is not the case. An LLM will provide you with an in depth knowledge of a different country norms and its legal system, your soft skills and language proficiency will increase exponentially, thus setting you two steps ahead of your fellow colleagues when applying for your dream job. And let's be honest, even if we run the risk of being logorroic, we live in an increasingly intertwined world and we wish to support our students to be best prepared for it!
We are aware that these programs also have high costs for students and this is why we coooperate with other Universities abroad to make your dream become reality.
University of Minnesota
If your first thought of Minnesota is snow and freezing cold, you're not entirely wrong, at least for a few months of the year. But Minnesota is more than that: the University of Minnesota is one of the most renowned law schools in the USA. It has also been our partner for many years, and we are honored by that.
Minnesota Law's LL.M. programs provide internationally trained lawyers with a precise academic education that exposes you to a broad range of legal skills and knowledge. You will receive a general introduction to American law, improve your legal writing and legal skills, including through judicial audiences: the university pairs foreign lawyers with local judges, giving students the opportunity to experience the American legal system firsthand. To date, all students in the LL.M. program have received a scholarship from Minnesota Law. In addition, your studies will be supported by us with additional funds - depending on the availability of funds. Are you considering an LLM at Minnesota Law? Then contact us to discuss and learn more.
