Once a year, between March and May, you have to use the University of Graz's application tool to pre-register for the Diploma Programme in Law. You can find the exact, current deadlines here. You pay a fee of € 50 for the application before you receive a confirmation of registration and payment. You must complete the Online Self-Assessment (OSA) before the deadline. This is a prerequisite for registering for the admission procedure. The OSA also provides you with a rough overview of the programme, including the structure of the curriculum.
If the number of applicants exceeds the available places, an admission test will be held on 7 and 8 July 2026.
No worries: For sharp minds with a good dose of common sense, this test should be nothing more than a routine task. An example?
"Write a short essay within 45 minutes addressing the following question: Which of today's urgent issues deserves special consideration from a legal perspective, and why?"
The admission test is only offered once per academic year and allows you to start your studies in either the winter or the summer semester of that year. You will be informed after the registration deadline whether an admission test will be required.
Did you pass the admission procedure, or was it not necessary at all? The Admissions Office will get in touch with you. Now it's time to get started: prepare the final documents, get your matriculation number, pay the tuition fee or students' union fee and you're ready to go... Welcome to REWI Uni Graz!
