The University of Graz takes data protection very seriously and treats your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory provisions.
This data protection declaration is intended to inform you as a recipient of the newsletter of the Faculty of Law of the University of Graz in accordance with Art. 12, 13 and 14 GDPR about the purpose, legal basis and your rights in connection with the processing of personal data by the University of Graz, Universitätsplatz 3, 8010 Graz.
Purpose and legal basis of data processing and storage period:
Data processing is carried out for the purpose of sending you news and information.
- External persons:
We process your personal data collected directly from you, namely your e-mail address and, if you have indicated this when registering for the newsletter, your first name and surname, on the basis of your consent to receive a newsletter from the University of Graz. Your data will be stored until you withdraw your consent. In addition, only your absolutely necessary personal data will be stored for the purpose of proving your consent or your revocation for a period of 3 years from revocation.
- Members of the University of Graz:
We process your personal data originating from the personnel register, namely e-mail address and, if applicable, first name and surname on the basis of the legitimate interest of the University of Graz in the internal dissemination of information. The data will be processed until the end of your membership at the University of Graz.
Transmission of your data:
Your data will only be processed within the university, there will be no transfer to external recipients.
Your rights:
In connection with the processing of your personal data, you have the following rights at any time, which can be asserted at the University of Graz as the controller, e-mail address: rewi.kontakt(at)uni-graz.at
- Right of access to the personal data concerned (Art 15 GDPR),
- Right to rectification (Art 16 GDPR) or erasure (Art 17 GDPR) or to restriction of processing (Art 18 GDPR),
- Right to data portability (Art 20 GDPR),
- Right to object (Art 21 GDPR),
- Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7 (3) GDPR), which does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
