Presentation from a lecture series China: center of Asian and International Gravity.
International relations and international law have experienced tangible changes during the past 30 years. Leaving the unipolar world behind, we are moving towards new constellations of power and influence. Amid these changes, the role of the Asian region with China at its core is becoming highly important. This lecture series provides a multidisciplinary presentation of China as one of the main actors on international arena by disclosing its legal past, historical and cultural heritage, making an introduction into its international policies and their reception worldwide. It is from such a multidisciplinary exchange that legal theory is expected to proliferate the most.
