Welcome to the Faculty of Law
With its approximately 5,000 students, the Faculty of Law of the University of Graz is the second largest law faculty in Austria. Its history goes back to 1778 when it was established as the third faculty of the University of Graz, which itself was founded in 1585.
The Faculty of Law is home to high-profile researchers and teachers across a broad range of both national and international legal fields. The Faculty's commitment to excellence assures the highest standards of research, teaching and training. Internationality, interdisciplinarity and successful knowledge transfer are leading principles that round up the Faculty's commitment.
