Submission of the doctoral thesis
Please contact us via e-mail well in advance if you intend to submit a thesis after having read the follwing information.
The official submission of the thesis has to be done at the Dean's Office. Do not send any hard bound copies of your thesis to your supervisors since they are expected to assess the thesis they will receive from the Dean's Office. Before submitting your thesis at the Dean's Office, several steps have to have been completed since the submission process is divided into the electronic submission and the submission of hard bound copies (print version) of your thesis.
Please read carefully all the general information about the submission of a doctoral thesis in English and also make sure to comply with all the specific formal requirements stated for your study programme before submitting the hard bound copies. They will not be accepted unless all the requirements have been met.

By law, readers are expected to assess and evaluate a doctoral thesis within four months from the date of submission. After the assessment/grade has appeared in UNIGRAZonline (green bullet next to your thesis title), you may apply for your Final Defence ("Defensio") if the grading was positive.
